Vision

BrainDump aims to be an exceptionally intuitive task management system.  It is loosely based on many concepts of the popular Getting Things Done task management system, but will deviate for the sake usability and simple workflow.

Features

  • Written in Python and GTK
    • Currently tested on Linux platforms
  • Task Hierarchy
    • Realm->Area->Project->Task
  • Contexts (Tagging)
  • Powerful filtering system
    • See only the tasks you want to
  • Configurable user interface
    • Adjust the footprint to fit your usage model
  • XML backing store
    • One XML file per entity enables simple synchronization via external tools such as rsynch

    ‎BrainDump 0.2.3 contains a few things I should have included in 0.2.2 but forgot to, such as packaging files, icon installation, and the install.sh script. It also adds the shiny new icon to the about dialog.  ‎
